Camera operators have a deep understanding of camera equipment, angles, and movements, and are skilled in achieving the desired framing and focus. They work in various shooting conditions, following the instructions of the director and cinematographer to capture the intended visual aesthetic. Camera operators find employment in film and television production, news and broadcasting, live events, sports coverage, and documentary projects.

Course Overview: 

This course is designed to introduce students to the world of photography and videography. The course will enable students to gain full control over the camera, increase their proficiency, and develop their creativity. Students will learn about the technical and aesthetic aspects of photography and videography, and how to appreciate the composition and photographic and videography skills necessary to shoot.

Assessment will be based on visual work, leading to a final portfolio of images and videos. The ability to grow in the medium, try on new ideas, learn to communicate using the language of photography and videography, and appreciate ideas and trends in historical and contemporary photographic art will all contribute to the grade.
