About MESC

Founded in 2012, Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Council has been promoted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with financial support from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). MESC is an awarding body with NCVET.

MESC has 150 plus Affiliated Training Partners, 933 Total Certified Trainers, 24 plus Empaneled Assessment Agencies, 5,64,195 Trainings conducted under MESC, and 108 QPs across 12 Sub-Sectors. The Governing Board of MESC comprises of eminent industry leaders and professionals, responsible for driving forward the strategic direction of the organisation as a whole. Ensuring most ethical and wise practices for the betterment of the entire Media and Entertainment Ecosystem. 

The key objective of MESC is to create a robust and vibrant ecosystem for quality vocational education and skill development in Media & Entertainment Space in the country. In addition, the Media & Entertainment Sector Skill Council aims to serve as a single source of information on M & E sector with specific reference to Skill and Human Resource Development in India. The Council is also implementing Standards, Training, and Accreditation & Reward (PMKVY) scheme of Government of India.

Kishore Kumar M is a seasoned photographer and educator with an impressive 26-year tenure in the field. Garnering 27 prestigious awards for his photographic excellence, including the top honors in national competitions by the Photo Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and the Tourism Department, Govt. of Kerala, Kishore's prowess is widely acclaimed.

As the Director of Trivandrum Institute of Photography, a distinguished institution in Kerala offering a spectrum of courses in photography and videography, Kishore plays a pivotal role in nurturing aspiring talents. His affiliations with esteemed bodies like the India International Photography Council and the Federation of Indian Photography further exemplify his dedication to the art.

With an ardor for instruction, Kishore has contributed his expertise to various educational institutions such as the Southern Film Institute, Cavalier Animation and Film Making Institution, and PMS College of Dental Science and Research. He has also conducted illuminating workshops for renowned organizations including INFOSYS and the Photographer Videographer Association.

Kishore's imprint on visual media is profound, having collaborated with notable entities like the Malayala Manorama Group, Mangalam Group, and the International Film Festival of Kerala. His discerning eye has also graced judging panels for esteemed photography and videography contests, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

Kishore's journey commenced in 1995, embarking on a path of teaching at the Southern Film Institute, where he devoted seven transformative years. His expertise extended to the role of a medical photographer at the Military Hospital, Trivandrum, affirming his multifaceted contributions to the field.
